![]() 3. Disconnect the ground wire from the side of the receiver rack. 4. Remove the lock wire from each of the four snap fasteners on the receiver mounting rack FT-220-A. 5. Remove plugs, PL-147, PL-151 and PL-152 from the FT-220-A receiver rack. 6. Lift FT-220-A rack up and aft and remove from the fuselage. 7. Remove the FT-221-A mounting from 8767-844 shelf by removing eight screws. (b) REMOVING TRANSMITTERS: 1. Remove the beaded antenna lead from the antenna post on the transmitter. 2. Remove the ground wire from the TT226-A rack on the side of the rack. 3. Remove the lock wire from the four snap fasteners on the rack. 4. Remove the two plugs, PI-154 and PL-156 from rack FT-226-A. 5. Lift the rack up and aft from the mount. ing FT-227-A. 6. Remove the mounting FT-227-A from the shelf, |
87-67-853 by removing eight screws. (c) Removal of antenna relay, BC-442-A located on the right side between station 8 and 9. 1. Remove the beaded antenna leads rom e post marked TR and ANT. 2. Remove receiver lead-in from post marked REC. 3. Remove lock wire from the four snap fasteners from mounting FT-229-A. 4. Remove plug PL-156. 5. Remove the antenna relay from the airplane. 6. Remove plate, 87-67-896 by removing four screws.
(d) To remove modulator BC-456-A located on the lower shelf between stations 8 and 9. 1. Remove the following plugs: IPL-153, PL148, PL-151, PL-154. 2. Remove the lock wire from the four snap fasteners on mounting FT-225-A. 3. Lift up and aft and remove f rom the fuselage. 4. Remove the mounting FT-225-A by removing the eight screws from shelf, 87-67-714. (e) Removal of the antenna lead-ins: 1. Remove the beaded antenna leads from the IN-84 insulator located between stations 8 and 9 at the top of the fuselage. 2. Remove IN-82 stand-off insulator from stringer between stations 8 and 9 on the right side. 3. Remove the beaded lead by removing IN82 stand-off insulator from 87-67-853 shelf on the right side. 4. Remove IN-82 stand-off insulator from bulkhead 9 on the right side. (f) To clear the top shelf 1. Remove jumper wire with plug PL-154 on each end, from the bulkhead No. 9 on left side, by removing two adell clamps from the rack and two adell clamps on the left side. |
