AN 01-25CN-2             PARAGRAPH 7
 (b) To install the SCR-522 wire harness:

   1. Install PL-169 plug into control box BC602-A.

   2. Insert PL-167 plug into jack box BC-629-B.

   3. Clip with adell clip on the angle provided below control box and on match angle. Route the harness along the match angle and toward the center of the airplane beneath bulkhead No. 5 about 12 inches from the side of the cockpit.

   4. Clip under bulkhead No. 5 on plate provided on bulkhead No. 5. Clip to the aft side of No. 5 and route over to the right side between stations 5 and 6 and attach to angle on the stringer. Route the harness up and aft, attaching to each bulkhead with adell clips. At station 8, plug PL-170 branches upward and is clipped to bulkhead 8 with two adell clips. The PL-170 branch is then clipped to 87-67-853 top shelf about 8 inches from the right longitudinal member of the shelf. Clip remainder of harness on 87-67-897 support assembly which previously held the 87-67-896 antenna relay support for the SCR-274-N radio.

 (c) To install connector panel:

 1. Install connector panel 87-67-690 by four screws to the forward side of bulkhead 9 on the angles provided.

 (d) To install dynamotor, PE-94-A:

 1. Install dynamotor with slide tray 87-67-826 on top shelf 87-67-853. Care must be taken that the prongs which protrude from the tray enter the sockets which are provided on the shelf.

 2. Snap the Dzus fasteners on the aft channel of the shelf.

 (e) To install jumper:

 1. Insert PL-171 plug in dynamotor on right aft side.

   2. Clip jumper to aft channel of top shelf.

   3. Install PL-172 plug on the right forward side of the dynamotor, and clip the two adell clips on right longitudinal member of shelf.

 (f) To install coaxial antenna:

   1. Insert plug PL-P-173 in AN-74 antenna mast on top of the fuselage at bulkhead No. 8.

   2. Clip coaxial line to the forward cross member of 87-67-853 top shelf.

 (g) To install the antenna mast:

   1. The metal portion of the mast is supplied as loose equipment. Slide the mast over the fibre base at station 8 and attach with the screws provided.

NOTE:
Install antenna assembly 87-67-785.6 from the mast to the fin and connect lead-in to insulator IN-84 on top of fuselage aft of AN-74 mast. This antenna is. used at all times to prevent the antenna mast from vibrating and breaking off at very high speeds whether the SCR. 274-N radio is installed or not.

 (h) Install the receiver and transmitter assembly:

   1. The receiver and transmitter assembly is furnished with a slide tray 87-67-849.

   2. Slide the receiver and transmitter tray forward onto the middle shelf 87-67-844 and be sure that the prongs on the forward end of the tray enter the proper sockets provided on the shelf. Feet the prongs to be sure the installation is correct.

   3. Snap the Dzus fasteners on the aft side of the tray to the shelf.

   4. Insert PL-Q-173 plug into the forward end of the transmitter.

   5. Insert PL-170 plug into the middle of the receiver and transmitter assembly.

   6. Insert PL-169 plug in the aft end of the receiver and transmitter assembly.

 (i) To make all connections:

   1. Install wire 581 from PL-172 plug through grommet on top left side of battery box to ground post on left side of battery box opposite fuselage access door.

   2. Route 580 wire from PL-172 plug through grommet in top left side of battery box and connect to D6364-2-40 40 ampere circuit breaker in top right corner of battery box. This circuit breaker will have to be removed from the box to make the connections.

   3. Connect the other post of the circuit breaker to wire 583 sent as loose equipment. Connect the other end of wire 583 to the hot side of the solenoid to the lower right corner of the battery box.

   4. Clip loose wire 592 from jumper plug PL169 to cross member of 87-67-853 top shelf and connect to the terminal post 592 and 588 on connector panel.

   In the cockpit:

   5. Hook up wire 550 from the main harness to terminal 550-584 on block under longeron on station No. 3.

   6. Hook up wire 573 from the main harness into the main switch box on terminal post 573-553.
