  7. Remove the spinner and propeller as outlined in paragraph 6, c., of this Section.

  8. Disconnect the fuel primer line, fuel pressure line, the oil pressure line, and the manifold pressure line at the block assembly located at the top right of the firewall.

  9. Disconnect the oil dilution line to the solenoid at the solenoid at the top right of the firewall.

  10. Disconnect the oil return line at the hose connection below the right corner of the coolant expansion tank.

  11. Disconnect the oil inlet line to the engine at the forward hose connection at the oil "'Y" drain cock.

  12. Disconnect the flap control shaft at the horn on the jackshaft.

  13. Disconnect the tachometer shaft from the rear of the right engine bank and remove the connecting clamps on the engine mount.

  14. Disconnect the coolant line from the tank fitting at the center of the firewall under the coolant expansion, tank.

  15. Disconnect the fuel line from the electrical fuel pump to the engine-drivern fuel pump at the engine-driven fuel pump.

  16. Remove the two bolts holding the torque shaft support to the wing panel.

  17. Disconnect the generator electrical conduit at the generator and tie back out of the way.

  18. Disconnect the electrical conduit to the booster switch at the firewall junction box.

  19. Disconnect the coolant temperature indicator electrical conduit at the top of the junction box on the left side of the firewall.

  20. Disconnect the propeller control electrical conduit at the left of the firewall (outboard conduit).
        21. Disconnect the magneto electrical conduit at the left side of the firewall (inboard conduit).

  22. Disconnect the booster coil - magneto electrical conduit at the junction box on the firewall.

  23. Disconnect the oil vent line from the motor crank case to the oil tank at the hose connection on the top left of the firewall.

  24. Disconnect the propeller governor control rod at the firewall bell crank (lower bell crank).

  25. Disconnect the throttle control at the carburetor (middle bell crank).

  26. Disconnect the mixture control rod at the mixture lever on the carburetor (top bell crank).

  27. Disconnect the coolant vent line at the top of the coolant expansion tank.

  28. Disconnect the carburetor vent line at the firewall hose connection directly below the top engine mount attachment fitting on the left side.

  29. Place Allison engine sling on the engine and take the weight off the engine mount (lift the engine with a hoist having 11/2 ton safe load).

  30. Remove the center brace bolts on the engine mount end (forward end).

  31. Remove the four engine mount bolts at the firewall using special bolt puller provided with each airplane.

  32. With the hoist, move the engine and mount forward until all lines are clear.

   (b) To remove the engine from the airplane without removing the mount.

  1. Remove side engine cowls by removing all Dzus fasteners.

  2. Remove the lower engine cowl.

  3. Remove the air filter box from the right side of the forward engine bulkhead.
